The National Museum Heritage Education Training
In 2007, with the support of the Canada Fund, ACM has developed a Cultural Heritage Education Program that aims to establish educational programs in museums throughout Mongolia. This project has three main aims: the education and perpetuation of Mongolian Cultural Heritage to children and youth; the use of cultural heritage education as a form of social and individual development; and increased participation and collaboration between museum staff, museums, local artists, tradition bearers and ACM.
Within the framework of this project, the Museum Heritage Education Handbook was developed and capacity building training was organized for museum staff from all 21 provinces in Mongolia. As a result of this project, museum cultural heritage education pilot projects are being implemented at Zanabazar Museum of Fine Arts, Bulgan Province History and Ethnographic Museum and Tuv Province Museum.
Currently, the project is being implemented at the Zanabazar Fine Arts Museum and at Bulgan Province History and Ethnographic Museum. |
