ACM-US,
a sister organization to ACM,
does tax-deductible fundraising
in the US to support Mongolian
arts and culture. Recently
ACM-US Board announced to
award ACM with grants totaling

My culture
The My culture project
aims to preserve the unique
musical traditions of Khovd
province by running folk music
training for kids in collaboration
with the Khovd Music and Drama
Theatre. The first stage of
the project, the curriculum
development, has started in
November, 2005 and the following
stages will be the training
of the trainers, repairing
and equipping the training
rooms and the training for
children.
Museum development
project in rural areas
Regional museum development
project is aimed to support
museums as heritage preservation
site and to develop museums
into heritage education venue
to deliver knowledge on Mongolian
history and culture through
arts.
Two day training in
Khovd province
The ACM has devised an after
school folk music project
in Khovd province aiming to
preserve and promote intangible
folk music heritage of the
area to younger generations.
In the preparatory part of
the project, specially developed
curriculums were developed,
which will also encourage
children's creative thinking
and problem solving skills.
On March 3-4, ACM facilitated
a two day training on secondary
school music education standards.
During the training, which
involved 25 music teachers
from all soums of Khovd province,
the selection of the trainers
for the after school folk
music training. The selected
trainers are two teachers
of secondary schools in Khovd
and two artists of Khovd Music
and Drama Theater and they
took part in the curriculum
development workshop. The
actual training for kids will
start in September, 2006 when
the academic year starts.
