The ACM hosted the IFACCA Asian Chapter Meeting in Ulaanbaatar

IfaccaThe ACM hosted the Asian Chapter meeting of the International Federation of Arts Councils and Culture Agencies (IFACCA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Education Culture & Science during July 28 and August 1, 2007.

The Asian Chapter is part of the International Federation of Arts Councils and Culture Agencies held every 12 or 18 months. The IFACCA Asian Chapter Constitution was adopted on 17 June 2006 at the 4th IFACCA Asian Chapter meeting held in Gateshead, Newcastle. The National Arts Council of Singapore, as the chair and secretariat of the Asian Chapter, has coordinated this meeting in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

The main objectives and purpose of the IFACCA Asian Chapter were to build inter and
intra-regional networks between IFACCA member and affiliate countries in Asia, promote understanding and enhance cooperation between arts councils and culture agencies; to promote a consolidated platform for the sharing and exchange of collective knowledge of arts councils and culture agencies and to strengthen
the capacity of arts councils and culture agencies to meet the challenges and opportunities of policy-making and funding issues.
